THIS ISn'T A MOVEMENT TO BUILD MORE BABY BOXES... BUT A WORLD THAT DOESN’T NEED THEM.
AN ALTERNATIVE TO ABORTION AND ABANDONMENT IN UNSAFE PLACES.
Outside his home in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Seoul, South Korea, Pastor Lee Jong-rak saw many precious children left for dead and knew that many other unborn children with disabilities were being aborted. In an effort to protect life and give mothers another option, he installed what became known as the baby box on the side of his home-church in 2009….
661 children have come through the baby box since 2009
OUR BABY BOX PROGRAMS
Some babies are dropped off at the baby box in broad daylight. Daytime Caretakers ensure the safety of these children and offer support for the mothers who visit.
Many of the babies that come through the baby box are dropped off by mothers in crisis. Nighttime Caretakers assist in the care of these children and help mothers whenever possible.
More than anything, The Baby Box is a symbol for the protection of life. The Administrative Caretaker works to create a culture of life in the community, while managing the drop off site.
