Sanctity of Life Sunday

I am fearfully and wonderfully made

This weekend is “Sanctity of Life Sunday,” a day in which people all over the United States will celebrate the value of human life.  A day on which we are reminded that we were all created in the image of God and that no human life is worthless.

This week, we ask that you pray for people around the world to identify with this truth. Pray that we would see ourselves as image bearers of the one true God and that we would treat others the same way.  Pray that God would carry the burdens of Pastor Lee and those working to protect life, that they would be given strength, and that Christ would be their joy.

Finally, pray that the orphaned, abandoned, and disabled would know that they are “fearfully and wonderfully made” and that they would never doubt their value.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.” Psalm 139:13-16
