Prayer on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

"There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right."  -MLK, Jr.

This week, pray that Pastor Lee and others like him would be empowered to continue to stand up for the abandoned, orphaned, disabled, and devalued.

Pray for God’s love to be their sustenance and motivation, and that through their sacrifice others would be compelled to serve.

Finally, pray for victories! Boldly ask God to change perception, politics, and practice as we long for the day when every child will be viewed as a gift.

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.Amos 5:24 ESV
