Today is Orphan Sunday - an incredibly important day when churches and organizations stand together with a unified voice for orphans around the world. We are reminded of our responsibility to care for the fatherless in deed and prayer.
We ask that you would join us in praying boldly for orphans around the world - for their protection, safety, and care. Ask the Lord to provide the love all children need - that they would find families to care for them. Pray that their practical needs would be met - food, clothing, protection and medical attention. Call upon God the defender of the weak and fatherless to intervene and reveal himself to orphans everywhere.
Pray that we all would look to the love of our heavenly Father and examples like Pastor Lee to continue to embrace our responsibly of caring for orphans. Lastly, give thanks to the Lord for his adopting love which saw you as a desperate orphan in need of a loving father and saved you.
We also ask that you continue to pray specifically for Pastor Lee, his family, and the children that come through his home. Please pray that these children would find families who can care for them and raise them in loving homes. Ask that God would compel moms and dads to provide whatever they can for the fatherless children of the world, whether that is through adoption, financial support, or other means. Finally, pray that these children would experience the adopting love of God and be transformed by His love.
“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” Psalm 68:5
