Many of the women who drop their babies off at the box are unwed mothers. In South Korea and all around the world, mothers who have children outside of marriage are often stigmatized and even discriminated against.
One of the things Pastor Lee is doing now and hopes to do on a much larger scale once his new facility is built is help unwed mothers who find themselves in these difficult and sometimes dire situations. Just like the children he serves on a daily basis, Pastor Lee believes that all mothers—many of them children themselves—are beloved, sacred, and precious.
This week, pray for these women who are marginalized, degraded, and devalued. Ask that God would meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Even when they feel worthless, pray that God would shower his love on the unwed mothers and reveal their value, purpose, and beauty.
Pray for God to grant wisdom, strength, and comfort to all mothers and thank him for the gift they are to society!
